The North Costa Blanca enjoys some of the most spectacular scenery in Spain and has long been a favourite destination for the overseas property buyer.
It is home to many nationalities, drawn to the area by the exceptional climate, the long sandy beaches, the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean and the various coastal and inland towns that offer every type of lifestyle imaginable.
Very few areas of Spain enjoy such contrasts, high mountain ranges merge into the coastal areas, green and lush valleys are dotted with quaint inland villages where orange, almond and olive groves bask in the hot sun.
The area enjoys a reputation for quality - and a sense of well being. Stricter planning regulations have, in the main, ensured the North Costa Blanca has retained it's own unique identity. The over-development that has blighted so many other parts of Spain has largely been avoided and apart from a handful of noticeable exceptions, the policy of the majority of town halls has been one of sustainable development and a consideration for the environment.
Take a drive along the coast road ( N332 ) from Alicante towards Valencia and the appeal of the North Costa Blanca becomes immediately apparent. Dry flat plains are replaced by greenery, clifftops dominate much of the landscape and a sense of quiet sophistication transcends many of the towns.
Finding your ideal property here is not only about bricks and mortar - and of course how much your budget can allow. It's more about the lifestyle.
The North Costa Blanca is more expensive than many parts of Spain - and with good reason.
The infrastructure is excellent, health care significantly better than the UK, educational facilities extremely good and very little crime.
Property development tends to be more limited due to stricter planning laws, whilst many established homes tend to have much larger plot sizes. It is not unusual to find a typical villa on an area of 1000 square metres or more.
The leisure facilities cater to everyone - numerous golf courses, extensive watersports, numerous clubs and societies, and the great ourdoors.
There are over 320 days of sunshine a year, the perfect climate in a perfect location -and less than 3 hours from the UK

OUR RECOMMENDATIONS
MORAIRA - Very sophisticated and with one of the prettiest marinas on the Costa Blanca. Excellent shopping, high class bars and restaurants and a coastline that is stunning. Established area that is very popular amongst both families and retirees. Good area for all year round living.
JAVEA - For decades a firm favourite of wealthy Spaniards and Northern Europeans. A beautiful old town, a port area overlooked by clifftop mansions and secluded beaches. Excellent schools and amenities. A real property hotspot with exclusive villas from €300,000 plus.
JALON - Inland town, 25 minutes from the coast and in the middle of one of the most visited valleys in Spain. Green, very lush and surrounded by pretty villages, a great location to live amongst nature. Famous region for winemaking, almond and citrus fruit production.
ORBA - One of the most sought after areas due to its location - beautiful villas overlook the valley and towards the sea. Friendly locals, a great community and a short drive to the beaches of Denia and Javea. Semi-rural but perfect for getting away from it all.

It would be unrealistic to suggest other areas that we have not mentioned are somehow inferior.
They are not.
There are many towns we would be happy to recommend, for the meantime, however, we are extremely confident that with our existing portfolio of apartments, townhouses and villas you are sure to find something you like.
PROPERTY PRICES
The North Costa Blanca covers a large area and property prices vary enormously.Our current portfolio ranges from apartments from just under €200,000 to prestigious villas costing upwards of a million euros.

APARTMENTS / TOWNHOUSES
Coastal properties invariably attract a premium and a price circa €200,000 would be a realistic starting price for modern 2 bedroom flat, and around €250,000 for a townhouse.
Inland expect to pay around 30% less.
INVESTING IN THE NORTH COSTA BLANCA
THE COASTAL AREAS
Many areas of the North Costa Blanca have a successful history of attracting 'residential tourism ' and this is particulary true of Javea and Moraira.
Whilst many areas such as Benidorm pay homage to the large Tour Operators, Javea and Moraira have avoided over-development with regards to hotel accommodation, cheap package holidays and mass tourism. This in turn has led to a constant demand for Villa Holidays and a lucrative income for property owners.
A well apponted villa in either of these areas can command up to €2500 per week during peak summer months - a fact not gone unnoticed by many of our clients.

INLAND
One of the most noticeable trends over the last few years has been an increase in demand for inland property, homes that are in a semi-rural location yet not isolated. Signature Spanish Homes have a great selection to choose from - townhouses full of character, large fincas / country houses, large plots of land suitable to build.
Both the Jalon and Orba valleys, locations we specialise in, have seen a real influx of buyers, not only because of the natural beauty of these areas, but the exceptional choice of homes to suit virtually every budget. With the coast less than 25 minutes drive, property up to 30% less expensive and a real sense of community in these areas it's hardly suprising that demand can very often exceed supply.
As an alternative to the coast - you won't get much better.
