Although Orba is the largest village in the valley, there are many other villages strung around the walls of the valley: Benidoleig is home to the well known Las Calaveras” caves, sleepy Sagra with its´narrow streets and Benimeli. The valley floor is home to orange groves. In spring the valley is heady with the fragrance of orange blossom, and in December an January the trees are laden with juicy Mandarin oranges.

There is a wide variety of bars and restaurants, from traditional Spanish places to those offering a more international flavour. Each village has its own market – usually offering fruit and veg, clothing and footwear, and on Sunday there is a very large Rastro in Pedreguer attracting a variety of nationalities to its´stalls.

Around the valley some prestigious urbanisations are located, many offering both valley and sea views, and the quaint villages offer a wide variety of village houses and apartments.
